Mr Moodley studied for a B.Com ing degree and is a Certified Director of the IoDSA.  He worked as a Group ant before opting for a career change in 2003 when he ed The Jockey Club of S A, as it was then known.  His thorough knowledge, understanding and ion for horseracing stood him in good stead and in 2007 he was promoted to Racing Control Manager and Chief Executive designate of the NHA.  He has a strong financial background and he was then head hunted to ply his skills at Phumelela Gaming and Leisure as the Executive Director : Sports Betting.  After just under 9 years Mr Moodley is now back in in the hot seat, leading the NHA since January 2019.
